More...Lukas can say it and I want it!

Don't we all want more, more, more....Lukas wants more food, constantly! (It is truly amazing how much food he eats.) And I want more time with my little munchkin man. As I am sure most moms feel at some time, I am regretting not cherishing every single second of the summer with him. The next time we will have weeks together from sunrise til sunset is DECEMBER and he will be almost 18 months! I constantly wonder if we should try to make it work so I can stay home (what working mom doesnt?) but in the back of my mind I know I was meant to be a mom AND a teacher. I LOVE my job...of course there are bad days but when the door is shut and it is just me and my students...I am so happy. BUT not as happy as when Im with Luke, so what's a working mom to do? For now my answer is cherish every second I have with him and make it count. Live by the saying "quality not quantity", even though I dont know which really means more. And be happy and okay with my choice...even if all the moms at our block party raised their eyebrows a bit when I said I worked. But as my mom always says...The grass is always greener...

Goldfish..yum!

All you need is love...

it's the truth! If we are surrounded by those who love us, we can live a happy, beautiful life. It is the love that allows us to enjoy happy times...and gets us through the difficult times. This is something I want to instill in Lukas...and anyone else who wants to listen:)
