Happy 4 Month Birthday Baby Boy

Happy Birthday Lukas! You are 4 months old today and I can't even remember what life was like without your love, smiles, tiny hands, and soft giggles. Fourth months sounds like such a short period of time in my 25 years and yet I feel like you have been with me forever. You are getting so big, smile constantly and entertain us with your "words". I cherish the way you recognize my voice and look for me across the room. The constant stream of drool streaming from your mouth is precious and we are just waiting for the teeth. We love you!

A  side note....we wanted some Christmas pictures with Lukas and thought draping Christmas lights around him would be cute...well it was, but he wanted to eat them! You may see one of these on your Christmas card!:)

Thanksgiving

Today I am thankful for so many things. I am so  VERY thankful that Matt and I were able to create the most precious baby boy. He is our everything and we love being with him. This is a little difficult to say today, considering the fact that he cried for three hours straight this morning. Despite the tears we love him to death. We were so lucky to be able to celebrate two Thanksgivings today and had a wonderful time!

Yesterday Matt and I spent around 10 hours cleaning the house...it needed it! It was over a month of dust and grime built up. As Matt put it we I had to "invokeChristmas" into the whole thing. I decided I wanted the tree and decorations up so we could enjoy them since we wont be here for Christmas. Today we put up on the ornaments. It was so special. Last year when we put up the tree, I had no idea I was pregnant (We found out on 12/4)...and this year we got to share in this special tradition with Lukas. He is growing so fast and getting to experience all the wonderful parts of life.

Lukas' 3 Month Pictures

So, we just got back the pictures from the photo session I talked about earlier. I knew they weren't going to be great, he didn't want to cooperate. We got a few ok ones, but nothing like our first session. Carrianne assured me his 6 month pictures will be much better. But here are a few of the ones that are okay. I don't even think half of them look like him! To top everything off, I finally realized dark hair is not right for me, I look like death in these picture. I made a hair appointment about 10 minutes after seeing these pictures, back to blonde!

This past week has been quite a mess...literally! Lukas is now in a spitting up phase. He spits up almost every time he eats, and its not just a little! We have tried everything and just hope that it stops! 

He is cooing and rolling over much more. He is so advanced from his age! He is full of smiles and is such a good baby. He only cries when he is hungry, and that includes when he doesn't want to take a minute to get burped! He sleeps 12 hours a night and is just about perfect.

Yesterday the three of us went to the mall. We walked around and saw tons and tons of babies. Lukas was BY FAR the cutest and happiest..not that I was judging:) We love him so much and are so blessed.

3 month pictures

The smile below is the one we were looking for, for an hour and a half during our photo shoot! Carrianne, our photographer, said it was our pay back for having such a wonderful shoot the first time. I joked that we would not make her blog this time. I hope we got a few good ones. I will post them once we receive them. After a very tense photo session we went off to Great Grandma Barrett's for dinner with Grandma, Aunt Becca and Great Grandma Barrett. It was a really fun evening. The new daycare is looking better and better each day, so we are thrilled about that! Love to everyone!

I'm Getting Good!

I have spent the past few hours putting all the old posts from Babysites on here! We are all up to date! YEAH! I wanted to add a few pictures of Lukas from Halloween. We went to Grammi and Poppi's for Halloween. Lukas did all the work and used his cuteness to get us candy! It was a really beautiful day. We saw little boys and girls running from door to door and cant wait until our little boy gets to experience Halloween as a 1 year old!

First Blogging

This is my very FIRST blog! I have been looking for a place to share all of Lukas' accomplishments. We originally set up the Babysites website, but apparently they do not consider people like me. (You know, those people who like to update things daily!) There just isn't enough space for all that I have to say. So, I am now going to start this blog. Lukas' Mommy's blog:) We wont be able to send out updates when I have added something new (I know some of you are really saddened by that). But there are pluses to this site

o your computer

4. Much more user friendly
